Janet Burkett, LMSW

About Me

Janet Burkett is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with dual master's degrees in Social Work and Education from Washington University in St. Louis. Janet is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges and reconnect with their strengths. Janet was drawn to the field of mental health because she wanted to be the consistent, safe space she didn't always have growing up.

Janet believes therapy should be a collaborative and empowering process and focuses on helping clients develop practical tools to manage emotions, challenge negative thought patterns, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. With experience supporting children adolescents, and young adults, Janet provides a compassionate and culturally responsive space where clients can feel seen, heard, and supported. 

Outside of the therapy room, you can often find Janet singing or dancing, playing with kittens, or spending time with her two children and husband.
